I have a new ipad 4 and I am trying to play a video from a website and it will not play. When I click on the arrow to start the video, nothing happens. If I need to find out what the format the video is, how do I do that?

Because its probably flash, which safari does not support.

Sounds like it is likely a Flash video. So, no, you will not be able to play it, at least not with Safari. Flash is not, and has never been, supported as a browser plugin on iOS.

If the sitein question has an app in teh app store, that would likely take care of it. There are also some browser that offer and conversion and restream of flash video available in teh app store. Puffin and iSwifter are two, but there may be others. I don't use either, so don'rt consdier this an endorsement. Just something to look into.

Thank you so much. I downloaded Puffin and I can now play the video from my Spanish website.
