I went to sync my ipod today, it told me it needed to update so i let it, once that update was done i noticed that it had removed all of my music from my ipod, annoying but didnt matter because i was just going to leave it to sync all 3207 songs from my pc to the ipod. Clicked on sync on Itunes, and the bar at the bottom doesnt show any music. After telling it to sync all the music and temporarliy have the music show up in the bar bellow, it still failed to sync music. Getting increasingly annoyed about this as every update to IOS or Itunes mucks everything up

    Try:

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Unsync all music and resync

    - Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore from backup. See:

    iOS: How to back up

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

    Hello,

I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I see you are having problems with your Ipod Touch, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.

    • Hard Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10sec. or until Apple logo appears
    • Have the latest Version of Itunes
    • Restart the Computer
    • Any error messages appear?

    Hope that helps!

If none of the above solutions work, can you please respond back ASAP as I will try to find another solution to your problem (This might even help others with the same problem!)

    Cheers!

Does your iPod have enough free space to sync all that music?

my 186 song library takes up 1gb on my iTouch..you probably have enough room for the first 700 but not the other 2500 or so (not good with math..at all) the new iOS 6 takes up more space than 5..that really could be your problem... what generation and size is it?

    • Get the drive with the songs on it, and put them on your desktop (create a shortcut)
    • Go to ITunes
    • Then, try adding them back on

    Hope that helps!
