If you insist on going BT, you have to delete the pairing and start afresh. If the iPad won't talk to phone, maybe you get better luck the other way around, phone to iPad. What's important is to get the two to establish the pairing.
OTOH, wouldn't you get better service if you tethered the iPad to the phone using the Wi-Fi hotspot? Much faster than BT!
problem with WiFi is, and the reason I got the hot spot in the first place, is that I work in a Hospital ER and the hospital SEVERELY blocks any internet activity. For instance, with me connected to their WiFi it won’t let me connect to the Apple Store. WiFi police in a bible belt Emergency Room where all we want to do is look at **** instead of taking care of patients. Sheeeesh!
