It is probably a problem with the nanoSIM in your iPad, go to AT&T and swap it out.
Never had such a problem with my iPhone 5 on iOS 5.

Thanks for the rapid reply! I will call AT&T about this soon! I hope they are aware of this problem.
If anyone else got any other suggestions and advice, please let me know!
