in my contact list, at the end of almost every entry, the word (AIM) appears. What does that mean and do I need it? If not, how can I get rid of it.

Thanks

    HI,

If we are talking about the Contacts App and Address Cards for Buddies that contain only their Real Names and their AIM IM screen name  then that is what the "AIM" refers to.

If you use the Edit button from this Pic  you will find the Screen Name can actually list Jabber, Yahoo, Google Talk amongst others.

There is not, unfortunately, an option to be blank.

    Hi,

I did say that you could not change it to a blank (unnamed) option.

I did check the Preferences > Template to see if your could create a IM service name that was blank but you cannot.

    It does sound "Engineer Fussy".
