Hi All;

Is the Reminders application on an IMac supposed to have the Today feature?

Mine does not.

Thanks Mark

I wonder why I haven't got it. Strange

    It's possible I added it, I don't remember.

Seems that moving ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.reminders/Container.plist to your Desktop would return Reminders to default.

    Thanks for all the responses.

    Macjack ...

I have only the general Reminders list and a number of sublists I created.

    No .. Completed or Today.

Okay so just had a reminder pop up which I deleted ... Completed is now in the field.

    Still no today though?

I'm not sure what you mean by the "General Reminders List"?

From your View menu choose Show Sidebar and check that Today does not appear there.

If not, what happens if you add it?

Apologize ... I was unclear n my explanation.

On my IMac, IPhone and IPad I have a "Reminders" list that is there generically with the application (that I did not add).

On the sidebar I have the "Reminders" list and a host of sublists that I created (ie: Exercise, etc)

I have now found that the reason the "Complete" list was not there as I did not have any "Completed" reminders at the time I was looking. It is there now as I had one at 0600 this morning.

There is no "Today" list on my IMac like I have on the IPad and IPhone and if I add it, it simply becomes a sublist with nothing in it unless I add a reminder manually.

The "Today" list on the IPhone and IPad (as I am sure you know) populate with the reminders that are scheduled for "Today"

I have a default installation of ML I can boot into, but I probably won't have a chance to check until later this weekend.

Yes, the iPhone has the Today list and adding a reminder to my iMac Today list adds it to the iPhone Today list and both give alerts.

    EDIT: This article states...

"Reminders includes a List called Reminders by default. You can delete or rename it if you like, and you can create additional Lists if you care to by choosing File→New List, pressing Command+L, or clicking the plus button at the bottom of the window."

OK I checked on a clean install and the default is "Reminders" only. As soon as a reminder is completed the "Completed" category is created.

Other than that all I can guess is I added the others. Using the "+" button to add categories works for me, I'm not sure why or how you get subs to categories.

Thanks very much for all the effort into solving this for me.

    I appreciate it !!

I think again I was unclear in my explantionon the sublists.

All I did to add these was to use the  "+" as well.

The thing I could not figure out was when I manually added the "Today" list, how items from the reminders got into that list without moving them manually?

No worries though ... I will just work that piece form my other devices.

Thanks again for all your help.
