I have been a MacBook User for long.

Have been quite fascinated by the new IPad Mini.

Should I shift from MacBook to IPad?

Need to know the Pros and Cons.

Apple Community, please help...

This is a duplicate post of what you asked in the iPad forum...see the answer over there.

Since I don't frequent the iPad forum I'll answer here. I'm typing this answer on my first generation iPad. I absolutely love my iPad for web surfing and checking email while I sit in my comfy recliner in my family room, there's nothing better for those activities. I also use it to watch TV while I work out or sit in the hot tub! That said iPads are not replacements for full fledged laptops. Typing is unnatural and you wouldn't want to do it for long....this answer is about my limit! Creating and managing files is somewhat limited also although that gets better as more and more computer style apps come out. My MacBook recently died due to a failed logic board and I didn't think I'd miss it but I do and have purchased a used one to replace it, can't wait for it to arrive. I wouldn't want to do anything but surf, email and watch tv on my iPad.

Go with the MacBook or derivative (Air). The iPad is very messy looking most of the time from grubby germ infested fingerprints. You wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong impression of yourself would you?
