Definitely still an issue, I have had dozens of different devices never have issue getting connected to my Netgear WNDR3700, then friend's Apple iPhone 5 could not. Thought nothing of it until family member got iPhone 5 and we had to get her connected or end up suffering data overages. All iPods and iPhones from 4s back, all Android and other devices no trouble at all, ever. Just iPhone 5. Like others, have tried everything, but refuse to revert to older version of router software as some have success with. I had another router not in use so added it to network as access point so that did the trick, but I am highly irritated. Like others say, maps, youtube, and now this apparently long time issue with wifi, should be warning mandated at POS that some routers are not compatible...I cannot believe how long and widespread this issue is? At lease maps was addressed. I feel scammed. When is a fix coming?????????????????

updating the firmware on the modem and routers does not work, both my iPad2 and iPhone 4s will no longer connect to either home or work wifi's. They see the network, but cannot connect/join.

This is a software issue, this problem has only happened since the latest iOS update.

On the netgear website, they stated that they are aware of the issue with IOS 6. However, they are still waiting for Apple to tell them what exactly the problem is.

Apple is having my iPad 2 shipped back to them because of this issue. They actually told me at first that I would just have to buy a new one because its a firmware issue all the while acknowledging that their software update caused the problem I have NEVER had any issues with getting online on mine. No wireless networks show up anywhere. Its not a Netgear or router issue. Apple has a bug they are aware of and dont know how to fix or they would have issued and update to fix it. As far as I can tell its only happening to iPad 2's. So after much arguing and yelling they are going to replace or fix it.

Netgear is perfectly capable of testing with Apple equipment to determing what the problem is.

oh please do tell. Please explain to me how my iPad 2 will not pick up ANY wifi, anywhere now after updating it. So EVERY router is effed up then? There are 10+ in my office builiding and not a single one shows up - on my iPhone they do, so why dont they show up on my iPad?

Let me put it in a different way.  They are still waiting for Apple to tell them how to make it "compatible" with iOS 6.  Of course, if that is indeed "reasonable" demand on router manufacture.  I wonder why didn't apple have opening stated that the router is the problem!

how is it possibly a router issue?? I have NEVER had an issue connecting my iPad 2 to ANY wifi. Anywhere. I update it last thursday and havent been able to find ANY wifi on it since, but you are also stating that its a router issue. How can that be possible when its not finding any of them. All of them (10+ of them) in my office are broken. Really.

If your iPad 2 doesn't see any WiFi networks then it has a hardware problem and needs to be replaced. It's as simply as that.

We all have different systems for our wi-fi's, and it isn't our routers or modems. It is an iOS software issue. And they better fix it soon or find a way for us to go back to a previous os.

so not impressed with this issue.

and the fact that this happened when i did the update last week has no connection? Yeah right. Immediately after it updated, i sat on my couch and opened it and it wasnt online. I started troubleshooting it right then. It was on before, because i downloaded the update wirelessly. You cannot tell me at that exact moment the hardware in my 13 month old iPad just happened to fail. Oh and Apple doesnt agree with you. The engineers are aware of the problem and they have FedEx picking it up from me today to fix or replace it. Its out of warranty. They acknowledged its their update. Not any router issue.
