My iPhone 4 (GSM) will not charge when I plug it first, I have to unplug it and when I plug it again, then it charges... It is very weird... Has this happened to anyone?
Thank you in advance for the answer.
Does this happen when you connect the sync cable to the device or when you connect to the sync cable to the power source? Is the power source a computer?
Please provide as much information possible about your issue so as to better help us help you...
Clean the dock connector with a soft, dry brush.
Same happens to me. Iphone 4. Always takes 2 goes to make it start charging. After about an hour off charge the same problem occurs. All sorts of chargers, wall and computer. So annoying!
Help us anyone??
Generally, reading the thread and trying all troubleshooting steps before posting your own message is considered intelligent and productive.
So, have you tried cleaning the dock connector? Or was that simply too simplistic for you to grasp and/or try?
Please show me your list of troubleshooting steps other than blowing the dock connector, sounds like this is all you know how to do. You are so intellegent. Well done.
It is yet happening to me. In my case it happens when I plug it to any kind of charger: socket, car... I have to pull it out the phone and plug it in again so it reacts and starts charging.
Of course, I tried cleaning with a soft, dry brush. This had no effect.
Thanks again and best regards.
If cleaning the dock connector does not work and other basic troubleshooting as described in the User's Guide (reset, restart, restore) does not resolve the problem, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.
