Feb 12, 2013 11:14 AM in response to Lesleyj17by Allan Eckert,One of the hazards with using torrent or pirated software web sites is that so much of their junk is loaded with malware. Personally my suggestion is to just stay away from them thereby avoiding all of the problems.

You can try http://www.wikihow.com/Uninstall-Ad-Aware-Free-Internet-Security
After that I would try using ClamXav to scan for other garbage.

Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
If any extensions are installed, disable them and test.
