Ok so I downloaded an mp3 app and got an AWESOME song!!! Problem is I've seen other people transfer it from their mac to their ipads. How do I do this? Also the reason I did this is because there are songs on mp3 that aren't in Itunes. But it works fine on my mac but can't get it to transfer... someone please help!

Get the iOS version of it from the iTunes App Store.

If you can't import that MP3 into iTunes, then it's possible that whatever program you got that MP3 from put DRM onto the file, limiting its use.

The only way you can get music onto the iPad is through iTUnes. If you can't get that song into iTUnes, then you can't get it into your iPad.

I can't tell if you are trying to transfer the app itself - which is not possible and that is why Niel is telling you to look for an mp3 playing app in the App Store .....

Or if you are trying to transfer the song as Skydiver119 is assuming and is explaining that you have to add it to iTunes by importing it and then sync it to the iPad - if the conditions are right as Skydiver119 explained.
