My Dashboard quits when I try and open it since I updated to OS X Mountain Lion. Anyone else experienced same problem?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

Do you mean that you slide across to it but it just keeps sliding back to the Desktop again? Because this happens to me. Very frustrating when trying to use the calculator for example. Did you manage to sort it? It didn't do it when I first installed ML, but it may have started around the time I installed the latest update which was around 2 weeks ago or so. I'm on OS X 10.8.2.

I have the same problem. Very annoying when I'm trying to use the Currency Converter.

Sounds like one of your widgets is misbehaving.  There are two places to look. First, ~/Library/Widgets, for user-specific widgets. Then /Library/Widgets for system-wide widgets.  (Note the tilde in the first path.  You can paste these paths in the Finder > Go > Go to Folder... dialog.)  You can try to move widgets, one by one, out of the folder until you can launch Dashboard.  Also consider deleting Dashboard preferences, com.apple.dashboard.plist in the folder ~/Library/Preferences.
