Q: Siri won't open Pandora on my iPhone 4S

I cannot for the life of me get Siri to open Pandora, she will open any other apps.  Any ideas?

Tried, she just says "You don't seem to have an app name 'Pandora'."

Both commands "Open Pandora" and " Launch Pandora" work with Siri on my iPhone 4S...

Try a reset: Press the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the came time for ten seconds until the Apple logo appears. Note: No data will be lost

I've tried this too, several times.  Even tried uninstalling Pandora and reinstalling.

I'm having the same **** excat issue, Siri seems to open only the Apple apps, other than the apple apps I get the message  "You don't seem to have an app name 'the name of the none apple app'."

I try to open facebook, and you see the question recognized by siri and spelled correctly but when it opens the app it opens Passbook instead of facebook!  it's frustrating! iphone 4s, ios 6.1.1 clean restore ...what's going on!

Apple don't seem to get their act togther anymore!

This how I fixed the issue using iphonebrowser or other software

    Delete these two files:

    /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-045.csstore /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installation.plist

    Restart the iPhone

The phone will rebuild them...just wait a couple of minutes

You may need to re-sync you iphone via wifi or cable.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you sooo much!

I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to fix this without having to reset and restore from backup as the other posts all suggested when I searched for this issue. I totally did not want to do all that. You saved my butt so thank you for sharing your fix. Just curious, how did you know to delete those 2 files to fix this issue?

Interesting...I don't see a mention of the word "restore" or phrase "restore from backup" in any post in this thread other than yours.

Some were going to genius bar and Apple had them reset the phone and then restore from iCloud.

You're Welcome! Glad I could help! I've been there myself pulling my hair and went thru so many restores and hours of  searching the web/forums, and trying to get siri to work properly, hopefully this will save others times and avoid them to go thru the frustration I went thru.

PS. Folks don't panic if the apps disappear, they will come back after couple of minutes of reboot. if they don't, just sync it again wirelessly or with cable with your itunes.

    Cheers!

As expected all my apps disappeared, however, after several reboots they haven't reappeared.  They're not syncing with iTunes either, but the storage space is showing as used both in the iPhone and on the phone's info page when connected to iTunes!  Before I wipe it and restore, is there something I should do to fix it?

I saved the copies of those 2 files this post had me delete.  Would putting them back help?  I don't want to try until someone who knows better tells me if it's a good idea or not...
