Q: I recently purchased a Mac Book Pro.  All songs that I purchased though the iTunes store appear in my library as they should.  However, 1 song quits after 10 seconds.  I purchased others songs from the same album and have no problem. Can anyone help?

I recently purchased a Mac Book Pro 13.  All songs that I purchased though the iTunes Store previous to purchasing my new Mac appear in my library as they should.  However, 1 song quits after 10 seconds.  I purchased others songs from the same album and have no problem. Can anyone help?

Did you download the song or are you streaming it?  If you downloaded it, then right-click->Delete. You'll get a splash asking if you want to delete it from the cloud. Say no, then redownload the song.

If you're streaming it, or if the above solution doesn't work, try re-booting the computer (you don't have to do that as often on Macs as PCs, but sometimes it's still necessary).

The song was downloaded from the iTunes Store.  I have rebooted but it does not help.  When I try to delete I do not get a splash asking me if I want to delete it from cloud.  I do get one the asks me if I want to move the selected song to the Trash, or keep it in the iTunes Media folder?  I'm trying to avoid paying for the song again.  Any other suggestion?

Try moving it to the trash.  You'll be able to download it again.  If that doesn't work, then it sounds like the song is actually corrupted at the store.  I'd email the iTunes Store.
