So, are you trying to say that you have tried a known working charger on your machine and it won't work? Have you tried your charger on your friend's "known good" machine? If both chargers work on the other machine, and neither works on yours, then the problem is with your machine. If the problems follow your charger (no matter what machine it is connected to) then you should be able to just replace your charger.
If your system is still under warranty, then make a Genuis Bar appointment. If not, you may want to start saving money. I suspect that you may have to replace your system's main logic board...

yes ive tried a friend of mines charger (same mac book pro model) and to no avail no light on the charger, or sometimes ill try to plug in the charger to my mac and i get a dim green light, and other times ill get a dim green light with a flashing amber color light, on both chargers... and i just checked on the warranty and it HAS expired, how much would i be looking at.. ive scheduled a meeting with the geius bar near where i live...

Reset the #1 SMC, do not use the charger with a different Mac.

i cant battery is dead and will not charge... and i used a friend of mines charger same model mac

Reset the SMC, then let it charge up overnight or a few days even on a power line that doesn't have much anything else also running on the same wall circuit.
Like trying to charge it in a unsed room with little other appliances in operation for instance, it's so you get a steady powerful electrical supply.

ok i did that the light on the charger is a dim light green once i reset the smc, once i let go the charger flashes an amber light and green light and continues to flash the same thing. is that normal?
