Same problem here. I have emailed Appl Customer Service 6-8 times now with no resolution! Apple- please hold off on iPhone 6 and Mega iPad until you invest in fixing iTunes! Thank you!,

Hi Apple technicians.... Do you read these things? Perhaps you should!! Sales up front will drop if customer support on the back end fails.....we are getting the feeling that your customer service reps lack problem solving skills, which translates to Appl is unconcerned with customer support.

    Hi Kanoodler,

You are not speaking to Apple here - we are just users like you. If you want to send feedback to Apple do so using this link:

You coming to a restaurant and give waiter your card.

He/she slides card and gets declined.

Right now you r screaming at the waiter.

Contacting waiter, emailing waiter. THERE IS NOTHING WAITER CAN DO BUT KEEP SLIDING YOUR CARD.

You can contact your bank and verify they do not block payment to itunes

You can verify your information is the same as on your statement

You can verify that your card has enough funds to cover what you owe to itunes/app store.

Or alternatively you can post here with no effect.

That post is only meant as post - not a discussion, I will not respond.

Hi guys, I just wanted to post my experience in case it helps:

    I contacted apple support here:

You may want to follow this path:

All Products and Services > iTunes > iTunes Store > Purchases, Billing & Redemption > Unable to purchase form Apple Store > Hit 'Continue' button

It will say 'Solutions' but you want to go to 'More options' and hit the 'Email' button.

Fill in the form and wait.

I got my response in less than an hour. And I'm from Argentina (South America).

A nice girl answered me, and I had this options:

    1) Your credit card company's servers have been busy. Consider trying again at another time.

    I tried again. Didn't work.

    2) There is an issue with your card. Consider using a different card

    I tried a different card. Didn't work.

or contacting your credit card company to advise them of the problem.

I didn't contact CC company yet. I think this is where I'll have to go.

    3) Your iTunes Store account information does not match the information on file with your credit card company. The billing name and address you enter must exactly match your credit card company’s records. A discrepancy in punctuation, abbreviation, or capitalization could prevent you from purchasing from the iTunes Store. Consider checking your credit card statement or contacting your credit card company to make sure their records are up to date. (bolds are mine)

So, to sum up, I think I'll need to contact my bank and hope the guy who gets the phone knows how the billing information form should be filled. It's not a great form, I must say. It looks simple, but it's not. We can take, as an example, the fact that most people have a middle name. The form doesn't have that field and, on the other hand, CC's usually have your middle name truncated.

So I'll keep going with this adventure and let you users know if it worked for me so you can try to solve your issue.

Hello- a warm thank you to the kind members who posted regarding my "rant" Apple needing to resolve the matter of iTunes declining payment. I really appreciate your helpful guidance!

My post I fully admit may have missed its intended audience, but I was hoping against hope that it might work out. A couple of my friends are business execs, and they routinely sample a "fan blog" for the companies they work for. They do so entirely to get a pulse on consumer feedback. They know that if an executive does quality control simply by asking the quality control department how the company is doing, the answer could be flawed on many levels.

I was hoping that Apple executives might see how many voices were speaking the same message regarding the same problem, and try to solve this matter. Clearly, there seems to be canned responses from customer support along with canned messages of thanks for using iTunes.

I apologize for taking this off topic, but just wanted to explain my post. After 8 messages to iTunes Support in the last month with no results, I am hoping to find a solution.

    Thank you!

This is bloody ridiculous, I have been on the phone to my bank because I had this error on my phone and tried to update my payment info, bearing in mind its the same bloody card I have used for the last 3 years and the farud protection kicked in and locked my bloody card!!!!! Barclays also stated that it is not a problem their end its an issue with apple and told me not to try again or it will look like fraudulent activity and my card will be locked now I have an iPhone with 10 apps that need updating and I can do sod all about it!!!!!!!

Seriously.....Im off to have a go at apple support for all the good it will do me.....

What to do, what to do.

Choice a) scream at waiter that card declined

                b) try another card,

                c) use itunes gift card

Waiter is not going to fix the fact that card is not accepted by restaurants machine, but hey your time.

I had to go into settings on my iPod touch and reset the iPod to fix this problem. I just did it this morning because I was getting no where with this same problem. I dunno if that's the same way to fix it on other devices but that's a least what I did.

Hope it helps ya out or at least someone else searching for a solution.

Oh and also there was an option to select "none" when the payment form came up. (There was no "none" option for me before I rest everything) but now there is.

Thanks, I may just have a go at that as Apple are blaming the bank - oh what a surprise. the bank is saying that Apples security certificate is faulty/out of date or has an error making it look like fraudulent activity on my card as they confirmed i have made multiple purchases with the same card with apple. It could be the new IOS thats causing the security glitch as we have had 2 updates in a couple of weeks is it?

Sounds from your description like your card is banned, did you try to use another one  to find out if account is banned as well, or would you rather keep continuing bouncing between bank and apple.
