can I use 1333 in both macs?.
Can I mix 1066 and 1333 mhz memory in both macs?
Running memories rated faster yields NO speed improvement, because the memory timing is determined by your Processor and support chips and other factors, NOT by the maximum speed of the DIMMs.
SOME memories can operate at both speeds. Some can not. Some mix happily, some do not.
Just to vex you, many 1333 and 1066 cost the same.
The best advice given on these forums is to buy from a Vendor who says:
"It works in your Mac,
or your money back!"
This assures you get modules that work, first time every time, and if you call with a problem they can actually provide support and exchange defective modules.Mac Pro (Early 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8), & Server, PPC, & AppleTalk Printers
