Do a factory reset of the Extreme. This can often get rid of bizarre glitches like this.

If you have your AirPort Extreme configured in Bridge Mode, then your modem/router is controlling the number of devices that will be allowed to connect.
It is quite common for some ISP's to limit the number of connections to 4 or 5 devices if they are providing the modem/router that you are using.
To explore further, we need to gather more information......
1) The make and model number of your modem/router
2) What operating system your Mac is using.....so we can provide some troubleshooting steps to check your AirPort Extreme settings.
If you have a Mac and are not sure which operating system you are using, click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen and then click About This Mac. Post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.
