Did you find a solution to this. I have the same problem

Sadly, no! So I use it with Lightroom, where it works very well! A pity, but that's how it is!

Was it difficult to move your aperture library to lightroom? I'm thinking about buying lightroom 4 as well, watches some tutorials and liked what I saw.

I think LR can read the old Aperture directories, but I have not done that - I just kept the old stuff from iPhoto in the Aperture library. Works for me!
I upgraded to the stand-alone version of Topaz, that is evoked (I think that is the word) from inside Lightroom. What I do like with Aperture (and is missing in LR) is the brush function, where you can selectively sharpen certain details (you can do a lot of other things with the brush, but that's my main use for it). Not figured out how to get Aperture use the Topaz - their site is deemed heavily infected (worms, spyware, et cetera) by Google, so I haven't been able to get in contact with them lately!
As usual, each program has its pros and cons. I also have a few other photo editing programs, like Phocus (Hasselblad's very own program, that was totally free when I got it - maybe still is? No need to own a Hasselblad either), PSE, and a few others, but I tend to use Aperture or LR4. For scaling images I sometimes use GIMP (still free!).
