HT1688 can't send photos through text

I cannot send photos to anyone who does not have an iphone. What is going on?

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1

    Can you not send or are you sending but the recipient doesn't get the picture?


    Do you have MMS turned on?


    Do you have MMS enabled by your carrier?

    Standard texting (SMS) doesn't support images. MMS does, however, if both the sender and recient have MMS available with thier respoective carriers. You will need to verify with your carrier that you have MMS (odds are you do, but keep in mind the recipient has to have it as well). If so, turn it on on the iPhone by opening the Settings App > Messages and scrolling down.
