hello I have just changed the battery to my Mac book Pro 13", but the battery isn't recognized from Mac.

i can see the X on the Battery display, in addition when I put the battery the first led of the "battery status" flashes, but when the power go in and I swith on the machine the "battery status" starts flashes with all the 5 led...

I've tried several times to connect and disconnectedand I've already reset the SMC..

So where the problem could be???

Thank you in advance,

Bad battery or bad charging circuit. Get it checked out.

If your MBP functions with the power adapter, then there should be no problem with the logic board.  Note that the OS will degrade the performance with out a battery connected.

It sounds that the battery is your problem, nothing else.  If it is an Apple battery, you should be able to get a replacement.  If it is a third party battery, then you may have been a victim of some of the very inferior knockoffs that are available.

My first choice would be Apple. either on line or a store.  If you are in the U. S. A. my second choice is OWC.  Third party batteries, especially the low price ones turn out to be very poor performers too often and in the end you may spend more money than purchasing the admittedly high priced Apple battery.
