And just for all who might bring up any of these issues, I have updated all system files that are available to update, I have read the BCA instructions, front to back... I have searched through this community, and others, read umpteen supposed solutions, only to find no real solution to my particular situation.

I can appreciate what you are trying to do but unless you are committed to that approach have you considered installing Virtual Box? That way you can install Windows 7 or any other number of systems on the Mac and run them simultaneously in seamless mode. Best of both worlds.

To be honest, I haven't investigated utilizing the VM avenue as I have been unsure as how they interact. I would like to hear more about Virtual Box if you have the time. Thank you for offering this option.

Right now I have 6 different systems installed. Windows XP, 7, and 8 plus Linux Mint, Commodore, and OS X Snow Leopard (for old times sake), all running on Mountain Lion.
I recommend reading the user manual as it greatly helps getting through the steps, however an intuitive person should pick it up fairly easily.
Thanks to BobTheFisherman for the link.
There are other ways to get Windows on a Mac but I'm a big fan of open-source software.
Give it a try. You might like it or it may not be your cup of tea.

macbeep & Bob,
Again, thanks so much for your suggestions... unfortunately, a couple of major software packages I use are very glitchy in the emulation/virtual software. So I need to find a fix to my original issue. Though again, thanks guys!

Found my solution. I was using an OEM Windows installer. I decided to switched over to a single edition installer. Install went off without a hitch (as I am currently writing this reply from the newly installed Windows partition on my Mac Mini.
Once again, thank you to macbeep and Bob for thier helpful suggestions.
