Can I  run aperture on 2 machines, desktop iMac 27 and a Mac book pro on the same licence, and  why is the app store not showing that I have a legal copy.

I think I bought the download direct from the Aperture site not the app store from memory about 3-4 years ago

Aperture 3, iOS 6.1.1

Yes you can run the DVD version of Aperture on two systems as yu describe.

The reason Aperture is not showing up in the Mac App Store in your purchases is because the two version are separate. It is not possible to turn the DVD version into the MAC version.

If you want it to appear in the MAC as purchased you would have to buy it from the MAS

    Like Frank said, yes.

HOWEVER you cannot synch an Aperture Library between two machines, a serious flaw of Aperture.

There are many workarounds, none good. Perhaps the best workaround is to use a "sneakernet" with Aperture Library on an external drive that gets moved between the machines, only using one machine at a time.

Please feedback to Apple the request for supported single-user synch of an Aperture Library between two Macs.

    Thanks.

Just realized two possibly confusing typos:

(Ditto here, MAC should read MAS)

    Sorry for any confusion.
