Hello ASC-

I recently upgraded my Mini to Mountain Lion and was looking forward to using the Airplay feature.  I have not been able to get it working.

My setup:

  1. Mac Mini (mid 2011, Mountain Lion, 10.8.2)
  2. MacBook Pro (retina, Mountain Lion, 10.8.2)
  3. iPhone 4S (iOS 6)
  4. all connected to same router (Linksys E1200)

On my Mini + MBP, in System Preferences > Displays:

  • both have "Show mirroring options in the menu when available"
  • both have "no devices detected"

I can share screens with my MM on my MBP using the "Share Screen" option in the Finder.

All that said, even if I restart all my devices and the router, I have never been able to get the Airplay icon to appear on the MBP or iPhone.

What should I do?

Thanks for your help-
