Just received my 27" imac, i have had it for exactlty 6 days when resolution settings dissappeared and the after a short time the display picture starts going all flickery. I am in the UAE and the technical support is only open from sunday to thursday.

What should i do?

  • phone an out of country support number
  • Take to a service centre on the authorized list

As you can imagine not very happy as to the cost of this thing, only for it not to work and then find the technical support is poor/closed. ideally i would like a replacement but it took 3 weeks to get it in the first place because i have the fusion drive and not available locally.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Did you buy it from a legitimate source? Not sure what you want us to do, you have a hardware issue.

What a bad luck. If you need an inmediate solution, take the Mac to a technical support to get the display replaced or another iMac.

If not, I recommend you to call Apple in your country (when it's opened) > Probably you will get a better service calling Apple, but it's up to you

First, I recommend to call Apple (as you bought the iMac online), so you will probably get a better support there.

You just take the iMac to the technical support and they will diagnose and repair the iMac. There's nothing more to do

    Good luck. You are welcome
