I have tried exporting my 1920x1080 movie in Quicktime for web viewing every way I can and it's width proportions are always condensed making everyone thinner. I have used the custom export setting to 480x390 with no success. Any ideas what I should do?

What kind of Web viewing? A video service or someone's Web site?

Are the 480X390 dimensions someone's specs or are you getting that unintentionally?

    Down-converting is not necessary.

Export your 1080 file from FCE as a Quick Time Movie, current settings.

If you don;t have MPEG Streamclip, download it.

Open the QT file in MPEG Streamclip.

    Choose Export to Quick Time.

For Compressor, choose H.264 from the drop-down menu.

    Check De-interlaced.

Under Frame Size, make sure that Unscaled (1920X1080) is selected.

    Click Make Movie.

    Upload to YT.

    Good luck.
