I simply set it up straight away and then charged the phone up fully overnight. Seemed to take a long time to get to 100% but the battery life now seems longer than it wa before - so I'm really happy.

I just charged it, then put the settings back to normal.

Also, did it work for you?

I just updated my iphone 4S yesterday morning while i was still in bed, i started up my day and 6 hours later i noticed my iphone was completely dead. I put on charge and it takes so long to turn on, when it gets to 100% i unplugged it and five minutes later i noticed that it was in 90% without even used it. Do you guys know where can i fill up a report for this?, thank you.....

    Hello,

I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I see you are having problems with your Ipod Touch/Ipad/Iphone/Ipod Classic, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.

    • Before you try anything, I would suggest you to try the following things (it has helped me on my Ipod Touch 4th generation battery drain!):

    1. Do the IOS update (the one that is the latest, or if you already did, then proceed to step 2)
    2. Reset All Settings: SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESET>RESET ALL SETTINGS
    3. Use it until it dies (automatically shuts off)
    4. Plug into Charge
    5. Leave it 1.5 hours or longer after it reaches 100% --> Undisturbed (preferably overnight)
    6. Give it a few days to Calibrate

This has helped me on my Ipod Touch 4th generation, running IOS 6.0.1

    Hope that helps!

If none of the above solutions work, can you please respond back ASAP as I will try to find another solution to your problem (This might even help others with the same problem!)

    Cheers!

I have an iphone 4s thru AT&T and i am having the battery problems, but im also having 3g problems.  i can call and text, but it is REALLY SLOW sending pics thru text or pulling up the internet. I cant even watch videos, which before 6.1 and 6.1.1, i had no problems doing all of the above!!!  And also, having problems with the lighting being dimmed and have to go back into settings to tap it to brighten again.

And i guess the thing that ****** me off the most, is we havent heard a peep from Apple.  When the I phone 4 came out and had antenae issues, it was plastered all over the news and Apple was  commited to making the fixes needed.  I havent heard hardly anything in the media and anything from Apple.  ****, they pretty much only have 4 phones out there now...the 3gs, 4, 4s and 5 and when 25% of your phones are not working properly, I would think Apple would be jumping thru hoops and apologizing and willing to make things right.  But, I dont see that.  I think they just hope people buy the 5 instead.  I think Apple is getting too big for their britches to think they need to suck up to us.  Im very disappointed in Apple.  I have left, after this message, 5 messages on Apples discussion pages, and no response from Apple.  I also sent them an email to their customer support and have not heard a peep from them.  I think if everyone threatened to go to android and take 25% of their business, then they will do something.  But, seems like they think they can do anything they want.  Im sorry, customer service nowadays *****.  I thought the customer was always right!?!?!?  As bad as these phones are, they should be willing to give us new ones for free!!!  But, Im not asking for that, I just want my old IOS 5 back, so my 4s works again!!!!  Is that too much to ask for!?!?!?!?

I have had stellar battery performance up until roughly mid / end  of January. Then all of the sudden I noticed a sharp decline. My iPhone loses 1-2% every 5 minutes- unacceptable. Let me also state I do not own a exchange account. I have never let my phone charge for longer than 20 minutes past the point of 100% charge, and I perform a full cycle at least once a month. Manually retrieve all emails, close background apps, keep brightness so low I can't see on a sunny day. I've even disabled most iCloud functions, including the email... So I began to try some of the posted remedies on these forums and nothing will fix the issue. I find also across my peers that this problem has started with them also. All 4s users- none of my friends who use 5s complain of these problems. I'm at a loss. 137 pages of people with battery issues should clearly indicate to Apple something is wrong

I would also like to say if this is apples way of forcing me to purchase the next gen of their phones (something I would gladly do anyway at the end of my contract), it's bad business.

I mean... should I go just buy a new battery?  That seems a bit weird a product would begin to self destruct one year and 2 months past its purchase.

I simply took Exchange off my phone which I think was the problem. Then backed up local to itunes, did a Restore, then restore from back up then put Exchange back in manually, then charged it overnight - and it's been great since! Battery life better than before. It's a 4S.

    Hi group

    My battery is fine now.

Can somebody please tell me how to turn off these notification email?  I have repeatedly ticked all the "no" boxes in my "email notifications" profile to no avail.

    Thanks

I have wifi and battery issue after updated to 6.1.1. My wifi is disabled and battery drain super fast. I hears rumors that new iOS should fix these issues but apple still haven't  came clean with these issues yet, at least not that I am aware of. I thought they run pilots and beta version on the updates before they release it to the user. Wonder what happened with this update. Did the programmers not try these on their phones before they release it? Or they all have androids? Just add on the frustration to see so many people have issues and apple is numb on these issues. Give us some hope that you are to fix these issue on the next updates and give us options to downgrade to prior OS. People make mistakes, so do apple, but why not give all of us a "Undo" button. If this issue persist and I would consider this is the last time piece of apple tech I own..

    - just a new disgruntled apple customer after updating 6.1.1. Which was recommended by apple techie.

I'm having the same problem. I tried the whole delete accounts and exchange stuff and then re add. No change. I'm losing 1% per minute. This is not acceptable. Fix this apple!

Hey guys, I had the all the same problems you guys are having. The Key is what whitty69 said on page 136. You have to restore your phone as a new phone, don't restore it from a back-up. None of this, change your settings or any other confusing stuff. Once you restore it as a new phone, you then can go back and restore from back-up (make sure you back it up first). This will restore all your apps and original settings like you had before. It has been 2 hours since i took it off the charger and its at 85%. That is with some texting and an hour worth of listening to music at the gym. Before i would probably have been somewhere in the 50's%. From now on i will update with itunes and not just from my phone.
