Q: Resolution in Color 1.5.3

I was thinking of using a 15" Macbook Pro to do some colour correction in Color 1.5.3. When you open a new project it recommends a resolution of 1680 x 1050. The Macbook is only 1440 x 900.

 

Can you you use a larger external monitor attached to the Macbook with the right resolution to remedy this problem?

    Honestly,

     

    Without the ability to see what the material looks like on a qualified broadcast monitor being fed by a device that outputs a calibrated signal (AJA, Blackmagic, Matrox), you are just playing in the dark.

     

    Why not simply use the 3 way CC in FCP?
