I'm running Logic Express 9.1.7 on Mac OS X 10.6.8, 2 GHz Intel Duo Core, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Whenever I click its icon to start it up, it begins to load, checks the plugins, then all of a sudden the screeen flashes as if it's taking a screenshot, and crashes -- just quits, too fast to read any error message dialog box. I removed all plugins expecting there to be a bad plugin, That didn't solve the issue. Besides, all my plugins work with other DAW software.

Any help you can give would be appreciated. I'm using Reaper right now because I need a working DAW, but I'd prefer to be back on Logic Express. Vesides, I need to access past projects.

    Hi

Check Console (in the Utilities folder) for any related Crash Logs.

Have you tried moving the Logic preferences file to the Desktop and re-starting Logic?

When you say "removed all plugins", did you try holding down the Option key after launching the application?

    If not, try that.
