Feb 17, 2013 6:15 AM in response to Altie44by wjosten,Is iMessage activated? If iMessage is not activated, it won't send. iMessage activation requires an active SMS messaging plan...something you don't have while the phone is in Airplane mode.

Feb 17, 2013 7:01 AM in response to Altie44by wjosten,iMessage works with WiFi turned on, and your phone in Airplane mode. When you try to iMessage, are you getting an error message like "You must disable Airplane mode to send/receive messages"? If so, hit cancel & iMessage will work.
However, if iMessage is not activated, as I've already provided, it won't work while in Airplane Mode.
