Hello,

I've been using pages for a while now and I have watched the video tutorials, they are somewhat helpful. But the question that bugs me the most

is that when I choose a template from the options the language seems to be in latin. I like using these templates to help as a guide but since I do not speak latin I have no idea what it says. I know this may seem weird but I have not been able to find anything on this subject. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The Typewriter Resume template begins with:

Seacula quarta decima et quinta decima Eodem modo typi? Modo typi qui nunc nobis videntur parum clari. Quam littera gothica quam nunc putamus parum claram anteposuerit litterarum formas humanitatis! Formas humanitatis per seacula quarta decima et quinta decima Eodem modo typi qui. Typi qui nunc nobis videntur parum clari fiant sollemnes in futurum. Mirum est notare quam littera.

Google Translate, at http://translate.google.com will give you this:

Excellence, the fourteenth and fifteenth same method types? Just now, they seem a small thing for us types who are now renowned for. The Gothic alphabet than we now have little clear anteposuerit literary forms of humanity! The forms of humanity through the ages of the fourteenth and fifteenth who types the same way. Seem a small thing to us who are now renowned for the solemn types may be made in the future. Modified version.

As you can see, it doesn't say much about resumes. These Latin paragraphs are there to illustrate the formatting.

It was the bits of de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero that a classically trained typesetter misrememebered.

So not useful to read, better to go to source.

How to us the Latin in two easy steps:

    1. Click on text to select it.

    2. Start typing or pasting.

    It's just placeholder text.

Thank you everyone for the input. For some reason I thought it was giving an example of what to write as sort of a guide. I can see the difference. And I wil probably look at the links that you suggested.

    Thank Again

Otherwise you wouldn't be able to use a "template" if it didn't have your name, your address, your lifestory in it.

The idea of a template is that it looks like what you'd want but you provide the meat and 3 veg.
