That's the thing though. Why then have these "non functioning" options in both profiles if they only apply to one of them. See this thread I started yesterday about this very subject. System not behaving per PM settings. No one so far has been able to explain what you suggested here. Futhermore, you'll see that Standby is listed AND enabled in both profiles, yet only works in one of them. Apple listing the respective function in each profile just confuses the **** out of people, nothing more. Also, you'll notice that if you set Standby (if it's the only setting you have) to 0, the system doesn't wake out of sleep when you connect/disconnect the AC adapter from it. If you have both Standby and Autopoweroff, I belive you can set both to 0 and the same thing would happen.
So, I ask, wouldn't it be cleaner to just have ONE same named setting that does this for both profiles? Call it Standby or Autopoweroff or Hibernate, whatever... but have the same name used in both profiles so that the user can enable/disable that singular setting in either profile and know that it's the same function. Would that have been too much to ask for? There's no logic to it now, it's like they just keep adding settings to the same PM table without regard to how the old settings functioned, etc. and how they could streamline it.
