My MacBook Pro running ML has been running rough, so I ran disk utility on it. I got the dreaded back up your files, erase the drive, and reinstall. I tried to get back into my computer, but it shuts down and won't reboot.

I have a recent Time Machine back up... but no way to reinstall and recover from said backup since we have to redownload the OS to do so. I get online using a cellular connection and there is no way to activate it since my hard drive won't boot up. I'm posting from my Windows computer and Windows doesn't have internet sharing. Even if it did, it would take days and tons of bandwidth overage fees to redownload ML. There is no Apple store for hundreds of miles around. McDonalds wifi is too slow; I'd be there for days trying to do a big download like that and I know it would keep timing out. No Starbucks out here either. I'm traveling so I don't know anyone who is hard wired I could bring my computer to.

Is there anyway at all that I can force my stupid machine to reboot?

Thanks,

Rae
