Tape the pins and it should be fine in the MDD.
You want OEM, as the flashed 9600 cards typically only output VGA.
I only have an OEM 9600 with an ADC port laying around, so I can't try for you.
The mod to bypass the ADC port is a real PITA, but done right, even that will work in a G4.

I'm starting to think the card im looking at is retail, unless Apple did versions of the 9600 without any ADC?

From what i can gather, this card seems to have shipped with early 2005 DDR model G5 systems.
I think i'll purchase the card i've got my eye on, if it doesntt work with my MDD G4, i can just keep it incase i ever do get a G5 system

Here is what we are talking about (I believe):
Radeon 9650 also didn't have ADC. Two DVI ports, one dual link.
