Q: Can I print to a Printer using Bluetooth

I have a need to print to either a wifi HP Photosmart device, or the request was made that I purchase a Bluetooth printer.

Apple does not supply BlueTooth printer drivers for the iPad nor will iOS allow you add print drivers.

Apple provides one dirver for  iPad printering that is AirPrinter.  That leaves you buying a compatible airprinter or additional software -- iPad applications for printer or more software/hardware elsewhere.

In a corporate environment you can add software to your severs to allow airprint to your existing printers.

Helper app -- /print n share.  You cannot add a driver but you can add an app!

Hey,  There is a ton of info our there and a  lot of options.  It can be really confusing. 3 questions?

-How many printers do you currently have?

-What is your environment (home or work)?

-What is the Operating System for your computer?

FYI - Hactivator for Windows got killed with the iOS5 release so that isn't an option anymore.  The best Windows software Airprint solution available out there is Collobos and their FingerPrint.  It is my recommended solution to all of my Schools an Dr's offices with an existing PC infrastructure.

Check out Mobi Print, allows the ability to print bluetooth to Zebra imz320 and other bluetooth printers.  Its a great app with tons of functionality. There is a little bit of setup but you are in complete comtrol of the print format.

I have an HP LaserJet Pro 220 which allows direct printing from an iPad without being connected to a wifi network. The video from HP shows you how to set it up. I think this feature might only be available to the ʺproʺ serious of printers though.
