help,

My new 2012 27" iMac has stopped outputing at 2560X1440 and only seems to work at 720p... i have reset the NVRAM and SMC and checked all the display preferences... check accessabiliy to make sure the zoom functions were disabled... what am I missing?

    Yikes, I think you'll need to take it in, but did you try three PRAM Resets in a row?

    ran AHT and it says no issues found... i just tried the 3 PRAM resets and still no luck... one thing is after the resets i have a screen that looks like it is out of sync (as if the horizontal and vertical were messed up) until the login screen pops up then i get a 720p login... looks like i am heading for an apple store...

    Brought it in, and the decides the video card failed... Replaced iMac working great now.

    I am happy that you got a new Imac but Really with the time i am waiting for my Imac and the frills i put on it. My iMac better work like a charm. 2800 bucks and a 5 week wait. Mostly because its a 2 and half hour drive to the Apple store :S
