Hi folks,

I have a problem (just started at once) since 18th, Feb, 2013.

My wifi was working fine. I updated my software to 6.1.1. a week ago. wifi still works great.

All of a sudden, I found on my iphone, there was no wifi. I checked my router but it was fine.

I could connect from laptop, but not from iphone.

The wifi is not even listed, and the preferences crash usually while searching (ON/OFF) for wifi. Seems very slow.

I just restore my iphone using iTunes, but still nothing.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.1

Try a reboot of the iPhone by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, ignoring the red slider if it appears.

Does your iPhone work on other WiFi networks, or is this a problem with all WiFi?

If it is all WiFi then there could be a fault in the wireless radio in the iPhone that needs to be diagnosed by a tech at an Apple store genius bar.

Do all of the wireless functions work, cell service, bluetooth?

Also, iOS 6.1.2 was released yesterday, at least in the US, and is supposed to address some WiFi issues users have had...check and see if you can update to 6.1.2 and if that helps.

That sounds like a failure in the wireless circuitry...I would take it to an Apple store genius bar or Apple authorized service center have the techs test the iPhone and see why it isn't sensing any wireless.

Also, have you tried holding the iPhone so you are not making any contact with the surrounding antenna/metal band?  Or do you use some sort of case or protector around the sides?

I have the same problem with the 4S and so does my sister.  There seems to be a problem with the Apple update.  I am connected to Wifi.  I downloaded some apps perfectly fine, but the Apple update says I'm not connected to Wifi.  WRONG!  It is.
