Was it working before and just stopped working? Has it ever worked using the Nano-SIM that's now installed in your iPhone 5?
My first guess would be that they do not have your account properly provisioned. I'd call them back and escalate the call until you get someone who understands the definition of the word "provisioning". The drones who answer the phones can look at your account and see what you should have. They can not look at the provisioning on your line to see what you actually have.

It seemed to be working up until the previous iOS update, maybe a few weeks ago. Went to vodafone store and account seems ok.
