I have an IPhone 4s and it's running IOS 6.1.1 and it telling me there is a software upgrade. However, every time a try to upgrade I get an error telling me I'm no longer connected to the internet. I have confirmed several times I'm on line and everyting else is working fine. Whats going on.
There is in fact an upgrade available for you (to iOS 6.1.2). My guess is you're trying to upgrade over-the-air (instead of using iTunes on your computer, which would probably connect to the internet easier).
The over-the-air upgrade is several tens of megabytes, so it requires a fairly robust internet connection. You either need a very good WiFi connection or an even better cellular data connection, as well as a good charge on your iPhone's battery.
