I have an iPhone 4, and it's having a charging problem. Whenever I plug it in, it starts charging, but after a bit of time it switches to "Charging is not supported with this accessory". However, after numerous times of unplugging and plugging it in, it eventually stays on charge (this is usually when I decide to leave it on, and not take it off in case it stops working!).
Some things I need to mention before you say anything:
- I have tried blowing into the port, and it is clean.
- I recently got a charging dock (this problem did not arise until about a week of using this)
- I used my phone to FaceTime somebody in the bathroom whilst having a bath, and a bit of water (literally a minuscle raindrop) splashed onto the phone. This problem arised on the very night of this event!
So I suspect water damage, but I would rather look into this more before trying anything costly!
