I use Windows 7 on my MBP to calibrate HDTVs.  However, it transpires that my current workflow is incorrect in some fashion, such that calibration results in lifted blacks.  Here's the workflow:

1) AVS HD 709 patterns in MP4 format

2) Played back in Windows Media Player

3) Sent over a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter over an HDMI cable

4) To my HDTV expecting a limited range RGB input (ie. TV/Blu-Ray/DVD standard RGB)

Parts (1) and (4) aren't at fault, that much I know.  So, it has to be down to either the media player or my video output.  Anyone able to shed light here on how to force limited-range output over Thunderbolt-to-HDMI from Windows 7 Home Premium x64 to my HDTV?
