I have a late G5 with 4.5 gigs of ram with a Viewsonic 20" monitor. I went in to change the resolution on the monitor and when I did the screen went black with an out of range message in the middle. I am a 20+ year mac user and for the life of me cant get it to boot. It works during start-up then goes black again after start-up completed. I've had this happen before and restarted the machine and it came back. not this time.

PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11), Viewsonic monitor
