You have to touch each one at a time to select them and then delete them. You can select a whole bunch by going down through the list and the delete them, but you do have to select them one at a time.

Thanks, that is what I was not wanting to hear. Maybe Apple will add a delete all or a way to select multiple ones in their next iteration1

What could be any easier than touching the Edit and then each little circle beside the email and hit delete.

You can select multiple e-mails for deletion in iOS, no need to wait for an update ... tap Edit, select the ones you want deleted, then tap Delete.
I can't see how a "delete all" function would be useful -- how often does one delete all messages in a folder? If that did exist can you imagine the users who'd accidentally clear out their entire Inbox by mistake?

Access your email from a browser and delete from there. Most have an option to select all and then delete.

Just select a starting point in your email. Press shift and pick another point further down the page. You can scroll down before you pick your second point. Everything you selected should be highlighted. Hit delete. I have 2058 emails on my second computer that I have to delete.
