I wish I could say the same. iPhone 5, iOS 6.1, 2012 Altima 3.5 SR with Nav -- still doesn't work
As soon as I answer, it appears to work, then the radio pops back on. But I think the call is left active on the phone, apparently with bluetooth disconnected (?) -- need more testing. Adn go through the whole process again -- reset everything, delete phone from car, pair again, etc.
Should have kept my iPhone 4 ...

Problem seems to be solved. I deleted the phone from the car, deleted the car from the phone, reestablished the connection, and it has been working reliably. So perhaps 6.1 did the trick after all.

Have the same problem - but we have both android and iphone operating in the car - android no problems, iphone 4 no problems - iphone 5 - can make calls no probs, but can't receive them same thing no audio - have a 2010 ford xr6 - android phone - htc perfect. So it's not the car. Due to change contract in a couple of months so if it's still happening will get a samsung note ii - iphone 5 was a gift but seeing as i travel all the time it's pointless if i can't answer calls - we have extremely strict laws about touching your phone while you're driving and the fines would be ridiculous.

I have had a problem with answering calls in my 2011 Nissan Maxima. The iphone 5 would pair with the car bluetooth, but when a call would come in i would use the steering wheel controls to amswer. The call would either hang up (or look like it did) and you could not hear anyone on the other end. I would have to go to the iphone and hit the button that say my car to ge tthe call to go though the vehicle system.
It looks like the problem has been solved. I updatged the OS on the iphone to 6.1 and the bluetooth is working. When I updated the OS it said nothing about fixing this issue. It was to fix some wifi issues. Apple, did you fix the problem on purpose and don't want to fess up or was this a fix that you are not aware of?

Right. Here goes. I recently upgraded my phone to Iphone 5. I tried pairing it with my van and the stereo/sat nav/etc etc. But just couldnt get it to pair. My phone could see the headend. But just couldn't get them to talk. So tonight when we were coming back from pub.(wife was driving) I decided to try again. As we all know there are 2 passwords that are commonly used for bluetooth. 0000 or 1234. My previous phones i have always used 0000. But just on the off chance. I tried the 1234 not expecting it to work. But it did. So i now can pair and use my phone with my vehicle.I however never made a call to someone to check that they can hear and i can hear. But fingers crossed, all is good now.

What Audi do you have and how did you get it to work? I can successfully pair up my iPhone4 (iOS6.0.1) but not my iPhone5 (6.1.2).
I even received a BB Torch which also refuses to pair with my Audi but my previous BB Bold had no issues..
Seems like smartphones are either getting too smart or they are not so smart.

The issue is, in 6.1.2 Apple updated the bluetooth firmware. To get it to work right with your car stereo you need to search and update the bluetooth firmware in your stereo if possible. I just did my Pioneer and all works again as it should. For some stereos it can be simple. But with the Pioneer, I had to download the update on a bluetooth enabled laptop, Connect the laptop to the stereo by the bluetooth, then do the update. You can normally find the updates, and instructions on your manufactures websites.
