I had, over the last 4 years, used up ALL of the space on my iMac OS X 10.5.8, and it (of course) had a meltdown. Last week, however, I deleted EVERYTHING (thousands of files) save maybe 200 pictures and a few albums in iTunes, but my Mac is still showing that I have used over 500GB. This is impossible. I have

1. Deleted the above mentioned files (EVERYTHING)

2. Deleted Word

3. Emptied Cache and Web History

4. Used Onyx

5. Tried the whole "Repair Permissions" thing.

I am no computer person. Any suggestions???? I  DO have the original installation disks, but I don't know how to use them or if I need to.

Thanks!
