I am trying to connect to my work desktop (PC) using my Mac over Cisco VPN. I have been able to make the connection, but have not been able to gain access to my desktop or any of the files. I downloaded Remote Desktop and entered in everything from my work computer name, to the IP address, the domain name, the VPN again, and nothing seems to be working. I also attempted to use the Go To feature and entered the same, but with no luck.

Our IT provider at work is not familiar with Mac's and has been no help resolving this issue. I read one of the comments to a similar question, and they suggested using smb://(computer name) in Remote Desktop...is this the solution or am I making this harder than it actually is?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
