    Hello.

You know you're not making sense right? Cause why would a lot of iPhone 4 users have acceptable batterytime until just after the update? Are you claiming that Apple secretly injected some code that made those "old" iPhones get way worse battery just because they "shouldn't" have good batterytime, and just to force us to buy a new 4s/5? Cause that's what it sounds like to me.

    Regards

Lol Michael, my battery life has increased by updating to 6.1.2. I get 7+ usage time with 20+ hours standby, I am a frequent user of my iphone. Perhaps it's because I got it replaced a few months ago that my battery life is good? If u had ur iphone for more than a year the battery life decreases through wear and tear!

Well, yeah, but enable 3G and mobile data and see if your battery drains? If it does, I will NOT update. Cause I have that problem with 6.1 already.

Okey. Did you have serious issues with it prior to 6.1.2?

I was on 6.0.1 and I only had short battery usage times, sometimes poor reception on the 3 network everything else was fine, but I upgraded to 6.1.2 the first day it came out suddenly my battery life has increased and I have full reception most of the time, everything thing else is spot on. I've seen other posts which say their battery life has gone worse but it my case it hasn't.

Know what? Just install it, then follow these steps:

    1. Do the IOS update (the one that is the latest, or if you already did or have it downloaded, then proceed to step 2)
    2. Reset All Settings: SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESET>RESET ALL SETTINGS
    3. Use it until it dies (automatically shuts off)
    4. Plug into Charge
    5. Leave it 1.5 hours or longer after it reaches 100% --> Undisturbed (preferably overnight)
    6. Give it a few days to Calibrate

This has helped me on my Ipod Touch 4th generation, running IOS 6.1.2

Upgraded to 6.1.2 IM LOSING MY MIND> my battery is draining about 1% a minute!!! This is just awful.... Everything im reading tells me that restoring to factory settings will not fix this issue as you are still stuck with 6.1.2 ??????

I updated to 6.1.2 on my iPhone 4S and my battery drain slowed dramatically.  When I would be out of juice at the end of the day at say 4pm and that was WITH a Mophie, I'm now wrapping up at Midnight with 66%.  I need the Mophie because I commute through a dead zone for Sprint and my battery drains faster than it would if I were in a solid zone.

6.1.2 is a far sight better than the previous updates IMHO.

The problem probably isn't with 6.1.2, or everyone would have problems. My guess is something goes wrong during the updating process. Restoring is probably the only way to go.

    Hello,

I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation, running IOS 6.1.2. I understand you are having problems with your Ipod/Ipad/Iphone, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.

    1. Do the IOS update (the one that is the latest, or if you already did or have it downloaded, then proceed to step 2)
    2. Reset All Settings: SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESET>RESET ALL SETTINGS
    3. Use it until it dies (automatically shuts off)
    4. Plug into Charge
    5. Leave it 1.5 hours or longer after it reaches 100% --> Undisturbed (preferably overnight)
    6. Give it a few days to Calibrate

This has helped me on my Ipod Touch 4th generation, running IOS 6.1.2

Where are you reading that? Here in these forums? Read more as there are a lot of posters saying otherwise. Yes a restore helps most of the time (not always as its apparent here). But especially if you updated OTA.  Also I would run the settings>reset>reset all settings first and setup as new when prompted (it doesnt actually wipe ur device and set as new so all your apps and stuff will remain) Dont select the restore backup option as you dont need it. It does not delete your stuff.. Just your wifi networks and wallpaper will have to be entered again
