I have turned off contacts on all accounts but there are still contacts located on iPhone. How do I delete these?

Tap on the contact, tap the Edit button, tap Delete.

There are 758 of them. I hope there has to be a faster way.

    There is a work around.

I turned off all contacts on my iPhone iCloud account. This verified that there were still 750 contacts on the iPhone. I then logged into my iCloud account and exported all the contacts from the account (it placed a vCard group file onto my laptop.) I then deleted all contacts from my iCloud account. I then turned on Contacts on my iPhones iCloud account. Those 750 contacts where then pushed to my iCloud account. One all 750 contacts were there I deleted them from my iCloud account which deleted them from my iPhone. There were now no contacts on my iPhone or in my iCloud account. I then imported back into my iCloud account the vCard file that I had exported.
