I just got my iPod Nano 7th Gen and I can feel a vibration of static electricity at the back of the unit whilst charging, is this a common issue?

Hey guys, just need a little advice.

As the title suggests, I can feel a static vibration on the rear of the case whilst charging. I also had a 2nd generation Touch a few years ago and had a the same issue. I'm pretty sure it's static, I've worked with electrical components for years and when something is emitting static shock it's quite a uneque yet bizarre sensation that you instantly recognize.  Have any of you guys expereanced this on your Nanos? If not I think I may have a damaged unit and may need to return it to the store. Thanks!
