Still get the same error with Facebook so I guess it is time to make an appointment with the Apple store. Thanks to all that tried to help!

Sep 28, 2012 6:39 PM in response to DB Hansby jdc2012,*****- sorry to hear that it didn't work the same on your ipad- I remember at the Apple Store- after I did the Erase all datack and restore- after that was completed- the very next thing we did was test out Siri with all of my apps- and once we verified they all launched the way they are suppose to- I then did the download dump from icloud- not sure if that would work for you- (just trying to help) good luck... Jason

Oct 3, 2012 10:49 PM in response to jdc2012by DB Hans,Hi Jason, first I want to thank you for corresponding with me and sharing your experiences, they have helped me a great deal. I have not had time to go to the Apple store yet but as it stands now I have around 186 apps on my IPad and about 50% will launch with Siri and the other half I get the error we had. As soon as I have time to get to the Apple store I will write back and tell you what they accomplished! Thanks again for keeping I touch!

Feb 14, 2013 3:42 PM in response to DB Hansby yllw,I recently updated both my 4S and iPad 3 to 6.1 and restored from backup and I'm having the same issue. apps are not being recognized. my 4S doesn't see *any* apps including the default built in apps like calendar or clock, and the iPad 3 recognizes only the built in apps but can't find any of my third party apps...
Is there any update to this issue?
Thanks,

Feb 16, 2013 8:28 AM in response to karenaxeby Skander,I'm having similar issue on my 4S, Siri seems to open only the Apple apps, other than the apple apps I get the message "You don't seem to have an app name 'the name of the none apple app'."
I try to open facebook, and you see the question recognized by siri and spelled correctly but when it opens the app it opens Passbook instead of facebook! it's frustrating! iphone 4s, ios 6.1.1 clean restore ...what's going on!
Apple don't seem to get their act togther anymore!

Feb 18, 2013 7:12 PM in response to Skanderby JWheelz,This happened to me today- siri was working normal at work- got in my car and Siri wouldn't lunch any apps, turned Bluetooth off and still didn't work- got home and back on wifi and Siri worked again. If I kill wifi at home Siri stops opening apps, turn wifi back on and it's fixed. Looks like a network issue. I'm on AT&T on 4s. Siri works normal on my iPad on Verizon LTE. Odd

Feb 18, 2013 7:26 PM in response to JWheelzby JWheelz,Well resetting network setting fixed this for me- but seeing as many of you did full restores I doubt it's a universal fix

Feb 19, 2013 10:37 AM in response to DB Hansby yllw,Hey Guys,
I fixed the problem on my iPhone 4S. I had upgraded to 6.1.1 from 6.1 (but I don't think it's really related to 6.1.1) the main difference was that when i unlocked and setup my device for the first time right after the restore to 6.1.1 (prior to restoring from an itunes backup), I setup icloud instead of selecting "skip this step".
I had to go through the setup wizard because I "escaped from certain shackles". Not sure how many of you here do the same.
In anycase, Try going through the setup wizard on the device prior to restoring from a backup (either itunes or icloud), and make sure to go through the icloud setup (don't skip it!).
FYI, I also tried resetting network settings and that didn't help. I was also getting battery issues which prompted me to upgrade to 6.1.1. No battery issues anymore (even though I restored from a backup)

Feb 23, 2013 7:35 AM in response to yllwby dervatii,Whats up guys,
I started with this problem today, I have an iPhone 5 iOS 6.1.2....
I was about to restore to try to solve this problem but fortunately I read this post and for me the problem was solved just turning off wifi. Siri do not open my apps when I am conected to my wifi network, if I'm over 3G it works perfectly.

/var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-045.csstore
(Deleting the other file cause disappear of all non-standard app icons, so i restored it to my old one after the reboot)
